Key Capabilities
- Self-Hosted Signing Engine:Sign PDFs with PKCS#7/CMS cryptographic signatures using industry-standard cryptographic libraries. Signatures are legally valid under the IT Act 2000 and verifiable in Adobe Acrobat, Foxit Reader, and any PDF viewer.
- PFX Certificate Management:Upload, encrypt (AES-256), and manage PFX certificates per company through an IP-restricted admin portal. Support for multiple certificates per company, with default certificate selection and expiry monitoring.
- Multi-Signer Workflows:Sequential and parallel signing modes. In sequential mode, signers sign in a defined order — each signer is notified only after the previous one completes. In parallel mode, all signers can sign simultaneously with concurrency-safe PDF writes.
- Visual Signature Placement:Drag-and-drop signature positioning on the PDF during document creation. Signers see exactly where their signature goes. Three signature capture methods: draw (freehand), type (styled fonts), or upload (image).
- Company-Branded Signing Page:Every signing page displays your company's logo, brand color, and name. Signers see your brand, not a third-party portal. Configurable per company — ideal for multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
- Token-Based Signer Access:Each signer receives a unique, encrypted, time-limited URL. No login required for external signers. Tokens are single-use, expiry-configurable, and bound to a specific signer and document.
- Child Company Support:Parent companies can manage child/branch company certificates centrally. When creating a signing request, the document creator selects the execution company — the correct child company's DSC certificate is automatically used.
- Certificate Expiry Monitoring:Automated background job checks certificate expiry daily. Admin receives notifications at 30, 15, 7, and 1 day before expiry via email and in-app bell notifications. Expired certificates are flagged in the admin dashboard.
Signing Flow
- Create Request:Document creator selects DSC Signing, adds signers, places signature positions on the PDF, and submits. The system generates encrypted signing tokens for each signer.
- Signer Receives Link:Each signer gets a unique signing URL (via email or in-app notification). External signers need no login — the token is the authentication.
- Review & Sign:Signer opens the branded signing page, reviews the PDF with signature positions highlighted, and captures their signature (draw, type, or upload).
- DSC Applied:The server applies the visible signature image at the coordinates and embeds a PKCS#7 cryptographic signature using the company's DSC certificate. Append mode preserves previous signatures.
- Callback & Next Signer:The signed PDF is returned to the calling system. In sequential mode, the next signer is automatically notified. Process repeats until all signers complete.
